Thunder Lighting Supply is a wholesale Holiday Lighting Company that provides product, training, and support to Holiday Lighting companies. We have been in the Holiday Decorating business for over 15 years, and have been supporting wholesalers for over a decade.
Thunder Lighting Supply takes great pride in being one of the largest holiday lighting distributors servicing the North Eastern U.S. We strive to surpass expectations when it comes to customer service and communication. In addition to carefully selecting the products we carry, once arrived at our warehouse, we perform several tests to make sure they can withstand the outdoor elements. We take great interest in helping other business owners start or expand their own lighting company by providing product training at no charge as well as assistance with the design of their company catalog.

Mike Kaplan
Proud Owner and President at Thunder Lighting, with a wealth of experience spanning over 20 years in landscaping and a decade dedicated to the world of lighting, he’s been on a journey to transform spaces into captivating environments. Mike believes in a hands-on approach to ownership, ensuring that Thunder Lighting delivers unmatched quality and innovation. His commitment extends to being intimately involved in all day-to-day aspects of Thunder lighting and beyond. Away from the demanding world of lighting, Mike enjoys traveling to Disney with his wife and two beautiful daughters on his very limited off time.
Grant Fields
Starting in the commercial lighting industry when Grant was 14 he worked through the ranks at his previous position going from labor to branch manager. When joining the team at thunder lighting grant was determined to use the knowledge he gained to help other business owners grow there lighting empire. Grant has a passion for the outdoors and loves combining his love for the outdoors with unique lighting projects.
Marie Ruppel
Meet Marie, our Administrative Associate, who made a successful career change two years ago, bringing creativity and a collaborative spirit to our team. She enjoys fostering a positive work environment, finding joy in working with colleagues, and is always ready to answer office phone calls with a smile. Beyond her administrative expertise, Marie brings a strategic mindset from her love of gambling and showcases her commitment to excellence and loyalty as a passionate hockey and baseball fan. Her journey is a testament to adaptability, resilience, and a continual pursuit of growth in the administrative realm.
Jessica Musarra
Now with over 12 years of experience managing diverse offices and ensuring seamless operations, she started with no background knowledge in lighting before joining the team at Thunder Lighting 7 years ago. Since then, she has been dedicated to guaranteeing our clients satisfaction and assuring all expectations are met. Outside of work Jessica enjoys traveling the US and beyond, cooking and The New York Rangers.
Kenny (JR) Pumay
With two years of dedication to the team, Kenny has proven to be an indispensable asset, contributing his expertise to both sales and operations. Fluent in Spanish, he plays a pivotal role in facilitating effective communication and building strong relationships with our diverse clientele. Beyond the workplace, Kenny lives an active lifestyle, hitting the gym and has a strong passion for collecting sneakers.
Kathleen Scheitel
Kathleen brings both a dedicated and enthusiastic approach to our lighting team while providing exceptional customer service as she learns the ropes. With a focus on delivering top-notch service, she strives to create efficient, memorable experiences for our customers all while promoting the brand’s reputation for excellence. Kathleen comes from a technical background working in IT for 17 years before joining us a little over 3 years ago. It’s evident she relishes hands-on activities and appreciated being treated as an equal among her male peers. Outside of the workplace, Kathleen has a passion for traveling with her family as they embark on new camping adventures together.
James Rubino
James comes to us with a background in e-commerce and shipping. James earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from St. John’s University and his masters from Southern New Hampshire University. With all of his experience, James is the perfect fit with us here at Thunder Lighting Supply as our marketing and shipping coordinator. Coming from a background where hard work and adaptability were always expected, James has built a reputation for being dependable and easy to work with. His work style is rooted in consistency and reliability and he approaches every task with focus and attention to detail. James is excited to learn and grow more in the lighting industry and with the company. In his spare time, James enjoys spending time with his family and friends, as well as traveling.
James Walsh
James is a valued member of the team at Thunder where he focuses on marketing and shipping. A graduate of the University at Buffalo, he comes with a background in business and marketing. On the marketing side, James works on promoting Thunder’s products, events, and seasonal campaigns, helping drive customer engagement and business growth. At the same, he plays a key role in the shipping department, ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently so customers receive what they need. Known for his strong work ethic, James thrives in fast-paced environments and is always looking for ways to improve processes, support customers, and contribute to team success. He is currently focused on continuing to grow his marketing skill set while deepening his knowledge of the lighting industry. Outside of work, James enjoys staying active, lifting weights, and keeping up with sports.
Jason Domenech
Jason’s background begins with obtaining his BFA in Graphic Design and he has been designing and printing for most of his life. Jason is a valuable asset to Thunder Lighting because he creates most of our marketing materials and has over 20 years of experience in customer service. Jason is always ready to help you with any concerns you might have. On his down time, he enjoys playing golf, volleyball, and spending time with his son.

I’m a proud momma with a passion for both landscape design marketing, sales and real estate basically, I love turning spaces into something special and helping people find where they truly belong. I’m bubbly, witty, and driven, and I bring that energy into everything I do, whether I’m working with clients or just enjoying everyday life.
When I’m not busy creating or closing deals, you’ll usually find me around horses and dogs, out fishing, getting my hands in the garden, or lending a helping hand wherever I can. I believe in working hard, staying positive, and making life a little more beautiful along the way.
