Warranty Terms and Conditions

Limited Warranty of Holiday Products

Thunder Lighting Supply warrants that its products will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of “three seasons” from the date of shipment, with proof of purchase. In the event a warranty claim needs to be filed, do not wait to file, as most manufacturing defectsarrive defective “right out of the box.” Please inspect all products upon receiving the shipment. Warranty Exclusions apply. Please refer to the Warranty Exclusions section for further details.

Warranty Exclusions of Holiday Products

This warranty is further conditioned upon proper storage, installation, use, and maintenance of the product. The warranty is for the non-permanent, seasonal, installation, and temporary use for no more than “three seasons” from date of shipment. A season is defined as commencing on the date the product is installed for use and ends at the time the product is not in use and is removed or put into storage. Foliage and fabric bow fading are NOT covered under warranty as foliage and the fabric from the bow may change color depending on the exposure level to UV rays. Accessories, electrical cord, and timers are NOT covered under this warranty. Although our metal products are coated with a durable exterior powder coat layer, rusting of the metal will occur over time when exposed to moisture; therefore, rusting of the metal is not considered a manufacturing defect and is NOT covered under warranty. Broken, burned out bulbs, fuses or faded and broken bulb covers are the responsibility of the user. Spare bulbs, fuses and caps/clips may be included with each product. The above warranties do not cover, and our company will not be liable, for any conditions attributable to (1) misuse, faulty installation, misapplication, extreme environmental conditions, lightening, electrical surges, acts of God, lack of compliance with applicable instructions, improper or inadequate maintenance, negligence, accident, or tampering, which includes the removal of any identifying labels or altering the original design of the product; (2) the incompatibility, improper design, installation, maintenance of products, accessories, equipment or materials not supplied by Thunder Lighting Supply.Thunder Lighting does not cover labor costs for maintenance or faulty or warranty product replacement.

HEY-O Permanent Lighting products are built for long-term performance and are backed by a comprehensive limited warranty administered through the supplier from which the products were purchased. This warranty covers eligible HEY-O products against defects in materials and workmanship when properly installed and used under normal operating conditions.

What “Limited Lifetime” Means: Limited Lifetime coverage applies for the useful life of the eligible HEY-O product while the system remains installed at the original installation property, subject to the terms and exclusions of this warranty. The warranty is attached to the permanently installed product and property. If ownership of the property changes, eligible coverage remains with the installed HEY-O system for the remainder of the applicable warranty period.

 

 

Certified Installation Requirements

Warranty coverage is valid only when the HEY-O Permanent Lighting system is installed by a HEY-O authorized or certified professional contractor in accordance with HEY-O installation requirements and product specifications.

Unauthorized installation, alteration, repair, or modification may void coverage for failures caused by or related to that work.

Warranty coverage begins on the date of the original completed installation. Proof of the installation date may be required for a warranty claim.

 

 

 

What the Warranty Covers

During the applicable warranty period, eligible HEY-O products are covered against manufacturing defects in materials, workmanship, electronic and LED components, power supplies, controllers, approved wiring and accessories, and the structural integrity of eligible aluminum track.

If Thunder Lighting Supply  determines that a product or component failed due to a covered manufacturing defect, the eligible defective product or component will be replaced at no charge for the replacement product. Discontinued or unavailable components may be replaced with a current, functionally equivalent product.

 

This is a parts-only product warranty. The sole remedy under this warranty is replacement of the eligible defective HEY-O product or component.

Labor and related service expenses are not covered, including installation, removal, reinstallation, service calls, troubleshooting, contractor charges, travel, lift or bucket truck rental, scaffolding, equipment rental, building access, landscaping or exterior repairs, downtime, lost revenue, lost time, or other costs associated with accessing, diagnosing, removing, repairing, or reinstalling the product.

HEY-O and Thunder Lighting Supply  are not responsible for these labor or equipment expenses.

For approved warranty claims, Thunder Lighting Supply  will cover reasonable shipping costs associated with providing the replacement warranty product. Defective components may be required to be returned before or after replacement.

 

 

 

Warranty claims are administered through the supplier from which the product was purchased.

The contractor or property owner may be required to provide proof of purchase, original installation date, installing contractor information, installation address, product or component information, photos or videos of the issue, a description of the failure, and reasonable troubleshooting information.

Additional information or inspection may be required before a warranty replacement is approved

 

Normal LED Aging & Cosmetic wear

LED products naturally change over extended periods of operation. Gradual brightness reduction, minor lumen depreciation, minor color shift, slight variations between production batches, and differences between new replacement LEDs and older existing LEDs are considered normal aging and are not manufacturing defects. These conditions alone do not qualify an entire lighting system for replacement.

Plastic lenses, covers, housings, and similar components are covered for 2 years against excessive UV-related fading or discoloration caused by a manufacturing defect. After two years, fading, yellowing, chalking, discoloration, and other cosmetic changes caused by sunlight, weather, UV exposure, or environmental conditions are considered normal wear.

Structural aluminum track is covered by the applicable Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects. The track’s cosmetic finish, coating, paint, and appearance are covered for 2 years. After that period, fading, chalking, discoloration, minor surface oxidation, scratches, finish deterioration, and weather-related cosmetic changes are considered normal environmental or cosmetic wear when they do not affect system operation or structural integrity.

 

Unauthorized Modifications

Warranty coverage does not apply to failures caused by unauthorized modification or alteration of the HEY-O system, including improper cutting or splicing, unauthorized wiring changes, modification of controllers or power supplies, incompatible components, alteration of the original product design, modification by an uncertified individual, or removal or alteration of identifying labels or product information.

Repairs, additions, or modifications performed by an authorized HEY-O professional in accordance with HEY-O specifications do not automatically void the warranty.

 

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover damage, failure, or deterioration caused by circumstances other than a manufacturing defect, including:

Lightning, electrical surges, flooding, fire, severe weather, storm damage, natural disasters, or other acts of God

Animals, rodents, insects, or pests

Vandalism, physical abuse, impact damage, negligence, misuse, or improper maintenance

Improper installation or unauthorized repair or modification

Use outside published product specifications

Incompatible third-party components or damage caused by third-party electrical or control equipment

Building or structural movement

Damage occurring during construction, renovation, roofing, siding, painting, or other work performed around the lighting system

Normal wear, cosmetic aging, or environmental deterioration except where specifically covered by an applicable warranty period above

 

Limitation of liability

HEY-O Permanent Lighting and Thunder Lighting Supply ’s obligation under this warranty is limited to replacement of the covered defective product or component.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HEY-O and Thunder Lighting Supply  are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from the use, failure, removal, replacement, or reinstallation of the product, including loss of use, lost profits or revenue, business interruption, contractor labor, service charges, removal or reinstallation costs, equipment or lift rental, travel expenses, damage to surrounding materials resulting from access to the product, downtime, or inconvenience.

The maximum liability for an approved claim shall not exceed the replacement value of the specific defective HEY-O product or component giving rise to the claim.

 

Warranty Administration

 

All HEY-O warranty claims are handled through the supplier from which the product was purchased. Contractors should contact their distributing partner directly for warranty evaluation, troubleshooting, approval, and replacement products.

Thunder Lighting Supply will coordinate directly with HEY-O as necessary.

Ascend Permanent Lighting Warranty

WARRANTY COVERAGE

Ascend by Dauer provides a limited, non-transferable product warranty on Ascend-branded products to the end user—the homeowner or business owner of the property where Ascend products are installed and does not transfer to later owners, tenants, buyers, or assignees. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal intended use for the applicable warranty period. It does not cover Acts of God or events beyond Ascend by Dauer’s control, including electrical surges, storms that cause electrical surges, lightning strikes, flooding, or damage caused by the contractor during installation or by the homeowner after installation. Dauer Manufacturing and Ascend by Dauer are not responsible for damage to any home, building, or structure resulting from the circumstances described above. Proof of purchase, in the form of an invoice from an approved distributor partner of Dauer Manufacturing, is required for any warranty claim to be considered. The contractor must handle all claims through the distributor partner.

CONTRACTOR / INSTALLER REQUIREMENT
Warranty coverage is valid only when Ascend products are installed by a contractor trained by an authorized distributor
or by an employee of Dauer Manufacturing. Installation by unauthorized individuals or companies voids all
warranty protection. Warranty protection is also void if any Ascend component is modified, cut, or spliced in any way.

WARRANTY CONDITIONS
If a product is found to be defective during the applicable warranty period, Ascend by Dauer will, at its sole discretion:
• Repair the product using new components
• Replace the product with an equivalent or upgraded product
• Provide a credit if repair or replacement is not feasible
This warranty covers parts only. Labor, service calls, diagnostics, installation, removal, equipment rental, and related costs are not covered.

WARRANTY START DATE
Coverage begins on the date of original purchase, as shown on the purchaser’s invoice or receipt.

WARRANTY CLAIM REQUIREMENTS

To initiate a warranty claim, the following must be submitted:
• Proof of original purchase, such as an invoice or dated receipt
• Installation date and installer / contractor name; if the installer was not trained, the warranty is void
• Clear photo or video evidence of the issue
• Address where the system is installed
• The product, if Ascend by Dauer requests it for inspection before replacement
• The purchaser is responsible for all return shipping and inspection related costs.

LED PERFORMANCE AND RATED LIFESPAN

Ascend by Dauer LEDs are rated for up to 50,000 hours of use, or approximately 17 years at 8 hours per day.
This rating is a performance estimate and is not the warranty period.
The following are not considered defects:
• Gradual brightness reduction, also known as lumen depreciation
• Color shifts due to aging or voltage variation
• Minor inconsistencies in hue or brightness across batches

OPTICAL AND SUN EXPOSURE POLICY
UV-related fading, discoloration, or degradation is covered for Ascend APL Series products for
4 years only to the extent it is caused by a defect in materials or workmanship and substantially impairs
product performance under normal intended use.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Ascend by Dauer’s maximum liability is limited to replacement, repair, or credit for the defective product.
Ascend by Dauer is not responsible for:
• Loss of use, business interruption, or lost revenue
• Delays caused by reinstallation or troubleshooting
• Labor or equipment rental costs
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind

 

EmeryAllen Lamps

If your EmeryAllen product does not perform to its specified use during the product’s specified lifetime, EmeryAllen requests the customer to contact the dealer where you originally purchased the product within sixty (60) days after discovery of the defect and provide proof of purchase, which shows the original date of purchase and a manufacturing date code. If said code has been removed or altered, Thunder Lighting Supply reserves the right not to warranty the product. Thunder Lighting Supply’s mission is to ensure customer satisfaction and product reliability. Thunder Lighting Supply will replace all in-warranty product(s) at no cost (including shipping and handling charges associated with resending replacement products) to the purchaser if Thunder Lighting Supply, in its sole discretion, determines the product is defective.

Transformers

The Landscape Lighting transformer, in a stainless-steel enclosure, carries a lifetime warranty. This is offered to the original consumer/purchaser, and herein states that these units will be free from defect in materials and workmanship for as long as the consumer owns it. Thunder Lighting Supply will replace any stainless-steel transformer that proves defective in material and/or workmanship under normal installation and operation, free of charge.

Dauer Fixtures

The long-term value and performance of a landscape lighting system can be limited by using poor-quality fixtures. At Thunder Lighting Supply, we carry the highest quality fixtures made from mostly cast brass. Thunder Lighting Supply guarantees Dauer light fixtures for a lifetime, from the installation date, against manufacturer defects.  Dauer Manufacturing has earned a reputation for innovation and quality, a reputation that is backed by a lifetime warranty for our brass drop-in landscape fixtures and professional-grade stainless steel transformers a ten-year warranty on integrated LED fixtures a five-year warranty on LED drop-in lamps, and a five-year warranty on integrated LED submersible fixtures.

Lumien Products

Lumien prides itself on the quality of its products and is committed to customer satisfaction. All Lumien Aluminum Fixtures are warranted for a period of ten (10) years from the purchase date. Lumien’s Modular Light Sources are covered by Lumien’s warranty for a period of ten (10) years from the purchase date. All Lumien Brass Fixtures come with a lifetime warranty from the purchase date. All accessories purchased from Lumien come with a one (1) year warranty from the purchase date. Lumien protects its transformers under warranty for a period of ten (10) years from the purchase date. The foregoing warranties are exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties. Lumien makes no representations or warranties except as expressly set forth herein. Lumien expressly disclaims all other representations and warranties, expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, any supplier or distributor of Lumien that modifies or amends this limited warranty.

Limitation of Liability

Thunder Lighting Supply will not under any circumstances whether as a result of breach of warranty, tort, strict liability or otherwise be liable for consequential, incidental, special or exemplary damages, including but not limited to: loss of profits or revenues, loss of use of the product or any other goods or associated equipment or damage to any associated equipment, cost of capital, cost of substitute products, facility of services, down time cost, cost relating to removal or reinstallation of product or damages for personal injury or property or any claims of claimant’s customers. Our company’s liability on any claim, of any kind, for any loss or damage arising out of, resulting from, or concerning any aspect of this warranty or from the product or services furnished hereunder shall not exceed the price of the specific product which gives rise to the claim.We kindly remind our valued customers that our products are covered by a comprehensive warranty for manufacturing defects and faulty materials.  However, please note that labor costs for installation, repair, or maintenance are not included in the warranty coverage.

Due to the seasonal nature of our product, all sales are final for products, accessories, equipment, and materials supplied by Thunder Lighting Supply. We understand that our customers may have varying needs and preferences, this policy ensures that we can maintain the highest level of service and product availability during peak seasons. We ask that you carefully consider your purchases, as we are unable to offer returns, exchanges, or refunds on all items. This policy helps us to provide our customers with the most efficient and reliable service possible. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Shipments – (Receiving Packages)

All items shipped should be checked for damage and accuracy at time of delivery.  It is the customer’s responsibility to notify our office within 48 hours after receiving all packages if you encounter a problem of any kind.
